- The library of Kangneung Wonju University was moved,
- after its establishment in Chodang campus with the opening of Kangneung college of education in 1946, to the present Jibyeon campus, and opened as a building with a scale of 4118m2 in 1985.9.5. Its current collection of books are half a million copies and above, and opened from 95:00am to next day 01:00am for a reading room throughout the year, and promotes the research and learning motivation. Our library, in responding actively to the era of informationization, was opened to comprehensive academic information systems(ISKUL) in 1997 to provide the academic information data rapidly to the academic research, and aiming at the electronic library concept to provide cut edged academic information of knowledge/information society, and is providing various academic information services. In addition, the library of which construction started in 2002 has a scale of 17769 m2, and its construction had been proceeded divided by firs and second one. After completing the first construction, it was opened in 2006.3.2. and in 2006.12.20, second construction was completed in 2006.3.2 and the whole library became opened. Our library is playing the role of supporting center for the comprehensive academic information of arts and science in response to the era of knowledge and informationization.
