- The department of industrial engineering is based on the scientific principles and the knowledge of engineering, and studdy the expertise and the method of optimization required for planning, installing and operating of various systems consisting of human, mechanical, materials, information, and is established to educate the advanced workforce. Main researches and educational fields are management sciences, production system, information technology, statistics application, system engineering, industrial economics, etc, and diverse courses are offered to accommodate, in flexibility, the trend of changes in demand for industrial engineering. Since the establishment of master's program in 1995, this Department produced first graduates in 1998, and holds a seminar each year by inviting a guest. In addition, with autointoxication of installing for doctoral program from 1999 academic year, this department has been making an effort to foster the professionals in the fields of education and industry, who will lead the development of a local community.

- Department of Advanced Materials Engineering
- Advanced materials engineering, the base axis for modern industrial technology, has been developing rapidly. Manufacturing, evaluation and analysis technology of diverse advanced materials have been studied and developed in the wide range of fields from the key areas of the country, such as iron, steel manufacture, etc, to auto-mobiles, ships, airline, machine parts and electronics, telecom parts industries. In addition, research and development of high-tech materials, such as technology-intensive biomaterial, functional materials, environmental materials, nano-materials, extreme materials in the field of high value-added industries, have been conducted. According to the needs of these industrial technology, this graduate school is on the purpose of educating professional personnels to participate in the research and development of industrial materials and high-tech materials in a variety of areas of advanced material industries, and fostering the engineers and advanced researchers actively engaged in the spot and groups of research.

- Through theoretical study and practical experiments of the related, is polished up the advanced and creative piratical knowledge of the fields of cutting-edged technology advanced materials and materials engineering, and acquired the broad knowledge through exchanging adjacent studies with various fields. Also, the materials, foundation fro the development of high-tech industries, are researched, and is understood foundational knowledge related to atomic structure and chemical bonding, shape formation and separation, fine-structure development and control, and is acquired the knowledge of each material's design technology, manufracturing engineering technology, applied technology and assessment skills as well.

This graduate school was established to produce excellent engineers and advanced researchers to participate in the research and development of a variety of electronic engineering fields according to the needs of an era.
After the establishment of Department of semiconductor engineering of undergraduate curriculum in 1990, the name of Department was changed to the Department of electronic engineering in 1993, and since the installment of master's program in 1997, first graduate students were produced in 1999. In addition, with autointoxication of the installment for the doctoral program in 1999, every effort has been made to foster the professional personnels in the fields of education and industries, who will lead the development of a local community. With helping Understand the professional knowledge and concept of various areas of electronic engineering and acquire deepening knowledge of electronic engineering through experiment and practice, are trained the excellent men of talent who are to contribute to the development of electronic engineering and electronic industry, and is aimed to contribute to the development of electronic engineer through the research activities of the related areas.
As the only the graduate school of the Department of electronic engineering of national University in the region of Yeongdong, this Department, in response to the needs of region, is making an effort to take a part for the industrial development of the country through active research activities and the education of excellent electronic professional engineers with providing excellent faculty especially in the field of a semiconductor and computer information telecommunication.

- The graduate school of the Department of civil engineering, based on numerical engineering, structural engineering, ground engineering, is conducting active research activities in the fields of the rivers and water resources, marine structures and seismic design, road design and packaging, soil and foundations, bridges and dams, river environment, etc. Active experiments and on-site measurement is proceeding with holding of opening waterway experiment device, fish-road repair experiment device, UTM tester, concrete properties experiment device, fatigue tester, asphalt related experiment device, various on-site measurement equipment, and through the joint researches in connection with various adjacent field of study, a line of the study is extending and the quality of the research is being enhanced.

- In this Department, the professional in various specialty(environment analysis research, high polymers materials composites research, bio-chemical engineering, waste treatment engineering, etc.) are doing their own distinctive research, and actively participating in academic society activities and social service activities as well. The graduate and undergraduate students are actively involved in each lab for the research. This Department is trying its best to help the students gain the practically needs knowledge with the best of theory and practical experience through the setting of closer relationships with industrial organizations.
